Why did nobody tell me Doctor Who started at half 6?

Would it be too much to ask for the BBC to start their flagship Saturday night entertainment programme at the same time every week? I've now got to explain to an irate house mate why I've only recorded the second half. My blood is on your hands BBC!

It was a darn good episode anyway.

Up till tonight I've never seen anything wrong with mixed-race relationships, but even I draw the line at what we saw in the last couple of minutes......

I only knew because they told us last week (when it was even later because of the FA Cup). However I can't see any reason for it to be on early. All the programmes which follow were on two weeks ago.

Won't it be repeated on BBC3 later on this week? Last week's episode was.

Ahh, sorry, Bernard! When they shifted the time to an hour earlier than the previous week last year, I made a big fuss about it on my blog, but didn’t get round to it this time… In the BBC’s defence, though, when it happened last year that was the week they chose to stop the trailers. Not an exceedingly good idea. This time, I have at least seen quite a few trailers (with the new time advertised). It’s still madness to shift the time of your flagship ratings-winner every week, though, and I still have no idea why. Meanwhile, this one’s on again on BBC3 at 8 tomorrow evening, and 9 on Friday night (if you don’t have digital [cough] drop me a line).

Next week they’ve moved the time around again – it’s at 6.45. Best of luck…

You blog for months about worthy stuff and they all comment on the throwaway doctor who post. Typical!

Alex thanks but have digital, will just have to avoid the housemate until 8pm tomorrow.
