God is dead...

... in the Lords at least.

The thought occurs that now we seem to be on track for a fully elected Lords that there won't be seats reserved for the Bishops and other assorted 'faith groups' in our legislature purely on the basis that they have imaginary friends.

Hurrah!

All we need now is to disestablish the Church of England and finally the UK will be (constitutionally at least) free of superstition as a basis for lawmaking.

How dare you say such things?

An atheist viewpoint is not that of the majority and you should repent else be sent to hell!

One could also argue the assertion that nothing exists is just as ludicrous as asserting that God exists as we have no proof of either. Who are you to say God does not exist?

The Church of England has a prescence in the House of Lords which brings a moralistic viewpoint to debate. You seem simply to want more tiers of potiticians and thus more electioneering which will damage this great nation.

I do not WANT to vote for a representative in the upper chamber! You liberal idiot!

What's really scary is that I can't tell whether Anon 1 is for real or trolling.

Awww, you got a hate message...that's adorable. I'm a little sad to see the demise of the Lords, but not to get rid of the CofE.

I'd say you're a Liberal FUCKWIT (all caps)!

Hailing that "God is dead" as you did is the typical kind of behaviour one would expect of dim, wannabe intelectuals.

I would wager that when you make these assertions you feel superior to your religious peers and it gives you a power trip. All because you dont want to follow tradition and have a different viewpoint to others.
